Hi, I’m Carla.

Curiosity is what gets me up in the morning. Love of language is what keeps me in this line of work. Conversation and travel are central to my life.

I’m a Word-Farer.

I’m a multi-potentialite with broad international experience across a variety of social impact sectors and communication methods. My far-ranging travels in work and life helped me retain the capacity to switch perspectives and transform insider jargon into clear and engaging language for any audience. Read more about my skillset and areas of expertise below. Head to the blog for real-life stories about the art and craft of communication.

For something completely different, check out the Creative Corner - my ongoing exploration into poetry, creative nonfiction and photography.

When I’m not dabbling in creative pursuits, my happy place is hiking around the great Pacific Northwest, inventing recipes in my home kitchen, and planning the next trip abroad (though I always miss my kitties).
